Inequity continues to drive the HIV pandemic, and inequity marred the COVID-19 response. This session will emphasize the need for strategies – global, regional and national – that go beyond public health interventions to address structural inequalities. That these are needed is not news, but how do we overcome the inertia and self-interest that perpetuate (or worsen) the current status quo?
