Target Audience
Science workshop
USAID’s RISE, MOSAIC and EpiC projects will lead this interactive skills-based workshop designed to help participants support the introduction of long-acting injectable cabotegravir (CAB-LA or CAB PrEP) as an additional HIV prevention option. The session will cover key clinical topics (clinical advantages and disadvantages of CAB PrEP, administration technique and scheduling fundamentals), along with pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) choice counselling skills (using the Journey Tool, scripts to help communicate complex technical information for clients, and more). Participants will gain practical knowledge, skills and adaptable resources to support the introduction of CAB PrEP as a critical new HIV prevention option in their settings.
