Self-testing has emerged as a pivotal innovation, particularly in managing HIV, COVID-19 and hepatitis C. HIV self-testing (HIVST) has demonstrated significant potential in boosting engagement with HIV prevention and treatment services. Parallel advancements in COVID-19 self-testing have been instrumental in enabling individuals to swiftly ascertain their infection status, ensuring early access to treatment to prevent severe disease. Similarly, hepatitis C (HCV) self-testing has carved out new avenues in enhancing the detection of chronic hepatitis C, thereby improving connections to life-saving treatments. This symposium session aims to delve into the latest advancements and insights from the application of self-testing across these three critical health domains. We will explore diverse use cases, share findings from research and relay implementation experiences.
