This session will focus on "Lessons learned in providing Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV for young people at scale", addressing the critical issue of HIV prevention among adolescents and young adults. In particular, this session focuses on key populations in low- and middle-income countries who are disproportionately affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic: adolescent men who have sex with men, adolescent transgender women and adolescent girls and young women ages of 15 and 19. This session will cover work from two projects, one in Brazil and the other in South Africa. What emerges from the session as a whole is a blueprint for the development of culturally appropriate interventions to promote PrEP uptake and adherence among key populations in low- and middle-income countries.
