People living with or vulnerable to HIV may have to struggle with mental health problems silently due to the stigma surrounding mental health, poor monitoring of mental health indicators worldwide, and lack of access to affordable and competent mental health services. This session will explore the lived experience and data supporting the intersectionality of HIV and mental health, examine the gaps in epidemiological and monitoring data, explore the integration of mental health services in clinical care, and highlight community-level interventions to improve mental health outcomes in various settings.
